個人覺得如果 Moto 真的順利將公司切割開，把網通跟行動家用裝置分開成二家公司的話，可能 Google 真的可以好好考慮將 Moto 買了，或是至少跟他們買專利授權，因為至少 Moto 在手機和機上盒方面的發展歷史還算豐富，在面對專利官司的時候，累積的專利至少可以比一家搜尋起家的網路公司來得擋得住許多。」

而昨天Google買下Moto之後，雖然目前看到許多評論都認為會對於Android陣營廠商造成騷動。但是個人的感覺是，如果Google想要護住並且繼續養大Android這隻金雞母的話，有了Moto這把好工具之後，後續的動作還應該要更多。

首先，有了Moto的專利之後，Google要和Samsung,HTC,SonyEricsson,LG談專利池共享的籌碼就更多。過去Google手上的專利還不夠多的時候，手機硬體廠商不見得會有興趣將自身的專利拿出來共享。原因是因為Android手機廠商本身之間也是在互相競爭，說實在的某一家被告了，其他家雖然也害怕下一個輪到自己，但是多少也有點看好戲的心態。

而現在Google只要願意主動將Moto的專利釋出，用互相交換的方式與各家Android硬體商做專利互惠協議，Android的OHA聯盟專利池要建立起來的進度就會相當快速了。Moto的專利對目前不斷被告的Samsung和HTC來說，也算是一條救命的浮木，所以這個時機談專利池的建立，大概是再好不過了。

如果OHA聯盟的專利池順利建立，其實接下來該擔心的反而會是微軟和Apple了。尤其Apple應該最為危險，因為Samsung,LG的手機面板及相關代工技術、Samsung的記憶體和CPU代工、Moto的手機和機上盒專利(別忘了GOOGLR/APPLETV)，這些部份如果全部集結在一起。其龐大的程度是會贏過先前Apple買到的北電專利。

至於目前其他Android廠商所擔心的失衡問題，雖然Google是說讓Moto保持獨立營運。但是個人的感覺反而是認為，如果要維持生態平衡。Moto將來遲早應該是會變成樣板廠商，而旗下的設計不一定會被推出實際產品，而是被提供給各家Android廠商做為參考。

Moto被買下後的用法，可能是以後Moto就只會推出像是MileStone的Nexus代表機，一年一機。Google可以利用Moto和電信商原有的關係讓Nexus進入電信通路。而其他設計像是Defy,Atrix,Droid等等，或許會變成給其他廠商參考的設計規範，而統一的設計規範，或許也能夠減輕一些軟體開發者為了不同規格手機而必須繁複調整的負擔。

藉此也能夠給予其他廠商壓力，跟上更新進度，避免手機版本零落的問題發生。不過當然這些都是必須Google在之後讓Moto在Android手機市場上的地位逐漸退場才行。其實看到有分析師指出，Moto的品牌本身遲早會被賣出，其實這件事情的機率本身並不小就是了。

至於專利池的建立，個人會希望Google在獲得硬體商之後，能推出一個完全符合開放原始碼的手機系統版本。因為Android在Linux核心與驅動之間做出隔離的作法，導致與Linux基金會的分裂。若是能推出一個公用版本是完全合乎開源碼作法的手機版本，並且和Linux基金會關係修補。
